We started KiRi wanting to introduce local people to some of the truly exquisite food that we enjoy in Japan.

Our food is prepared using the freshest possible ingredients which goes to the heart of our philosophy to realise the ultimate potential of our produce.

KiRi is the Japanese name for the tree known as Paulownia in Australia. Its also called the Princess Tree and has a reputation for being strong and fast growing. In Japanese tradition a Kiri tree is planted in the garden when a girl is born, and then when she is about to be married it is cut down and made into a dresser or chest of drawers as part of the wedding dowry she brings into the marriage.
